The economic value of online insurance went from RMB 223.4 billion (in euro 30.2 billion) in 2015 to RMB 143.1 billion (in euro 19.3 billion) in the first six months of 2016 alone.
In this incredible scenario, the various insurance companies are moving towards the East with excellent results: one of them is Generali which occupies a leading position in the Chinese market.
Online insurance: the reasons for the growth
The new customers are mainly the so-called digital natives who represent the real strength of this market. It is interesting to see how couples with children are more oriented towards investing in accident insurance than those without children (twice as high).
As for the healthcare and automotive sectors, the figures are 2.6 and 6.7 times. Values that for now are constantly growing, but which are destined to stabilize in the long term.
