TWICE Breaks Personal Record

TWICE’s upcoming album has set a new personal record for the group!

According to JYP Entertainment on November 10, TWICE’s third studio album “Formula Of Love: O+T=<3” surpassed 630,000 stock pre-orders as of November 8.

The number of stock pre-orders is the amount of album stock that is produced prior to the album’s release. This number is the estimated demand calculated based on various factors, including how many albums were pre-ordered by fans.

This new record is at least 130,000 units more than the number of stock pre-orders for their previous album “Taste of Love,” which made Billboard history after debuting at No. 6 on its famous Top 200 Albums chart. “Taste of Love” became the first mini album by any female K-pop act in history to reach the top 10 on the chart, and the album also spent three consecutive weeks in the top 100 of the Billboard 200.

Since their debut, TWICE has continued to set records and grow as a group. Their first English-language single “The Feels,” which was released on October 1, also swept the global charts, ranking No. 83 on Billboard’s Hot 100, No. 80 on United Kingdom’s Official Singles Charts, and No. 83 on Apple Music’s Top 100 Global chart. Furthermore, the song also surpassed 50 million streams total worldwide on Spotify within 36 days of its release. “The Feels” ranked No. 60 on Billboard’s Global Top 200 chart dated November 7 as well as No. 26 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 41 on Billboard’s Global 200 dated November 13.

“Formula Of Love: O+T=<3” has a total of 17 tracks, and Anne Marie participated in composing the title track “SCIENTIST.” Dahyun, Jihyo, Nayeon, and Chaeyoung took part in writing lyrics for B-side tracks, and Jihyo also participated in the composition for “CACTUS.” The album contains the special meaning that ONCE (TWICE’s official fan club) and TWICE together create love (<3).

TWICE will hold their comeback live show on November 12 at 12 p.m. KST and release the new album “Formula Of Love: O+T=<3” at 2 p.m. KST the same day. The following day, TWICE will perform their new song “SCIENTIST” on “MTV Fresh Out Live.” Check out the teasers for TWICE’s comeback here!
