Masteron, which was first developed under the brand name Masteril, was initially used as an anti-estrogen product. Its originally prescribed use was to help improve breast cancer and was used in conjunction with other drugs that affect breast cancer ncbl antiestrogen.
Far fewer people are using Masteron to help control breast cancer these days. Instead, the drug has become popular among athletes and bodybuilders because of how it influences the body’s hormonal systems.
Due to its anti-estrogen nature, one might imagine some of the characteristics of masteron steroid. The compound is derived from dihydrotestosterone, or DHT, and is not converted to estrogen in the body, a process known as aromatization. Free testosterone, that is, testosterone readily available to the body, can aromatize into estrogen.
Masteron is believed to influence estrogen by inhibiting some of the enzymes that lead to its aromatization, or possibly through a direct interaction with estrogen.
Drostanolone Propionate
Masteron Propionate, or Drostanolone Propionate, is the original form of Masteron. More people have used it and it is generally considered the more popular variety. Most brands and people refer to Masteron Propionate when they mean Masteron.
Masteron Propionate is extremely effective as an anti-estrogen and an anabolic, however some other steroids on the market are known to be more potent. Either way, Masteron Propionate can be great to help improve muscle growth.
Masteron propionate is a derivative of DHT with an added methyl group at the 2-carbon position and an added carboxylic acid ester at the 17beta hydroxyl group. This increases the anabolic strength of the drug and slows down its metabolism in the body.
Drostanolone Enanthate
Masteron enanthate, or drostanolone enanthate, is a longer ester of the Masteron molecule, meaning it is cleared from the body more slowly than its propionate counterpart.
This means that if you are using Masteron Enanthate, you do not have to dose as frequently as with Masteron Propionate, but you should use slightly higher doses. Some people find this preferable.
Some people also prefer to use Masteron Enanthate in stacks with Testosterone Enanthate, as they are said to work well together.
Drostanolone Side Effects
As with any compound, it is important to be aware of the potential drawbacks of drostanolone before taking it. Although Masteron does not have as many side effects as some of the harsher steroids you can find, there are a number of risks associated with the compound that should be considered before deciding whether or not to use it.
That being said, since Masteron does not aromatize and offers anti-estrogenic properties, it does reduce the occurrence of many side effects associated with other anabolic steroids that people might use. Things like gynecomastia, water retention, and a significant increase in blood pressure are much less likely when using Masteron.
Masteron Dosage
There are two main forms of Masteron that are used in most cases, as we have discussed. The doses of each of these compounds will be slightly different.
Drostanolone propionate is usually dosed in smaller amounts, ranging from 50 to 150 mg/mL. This version has a faster half-life, which means it is used, processed and excreted by the body faster. For this reason, you will need to make sure you get another injection at least once every two days.
Drostanolone enanthate is the slower acting version. Due to its slower action, users generally take slightly higher doses of 200mg/ml.
